I found this critter stopping by to help himself to a peanut butter-bird seed mix I had put out for the birds. I don’t like to encourage wild animals to get that cozy in our yard, so I won’t be putting out peanut butter again. In the meantime, he had a great meal and wasn’t just playing possum.
How can he be so darn cute? I know he’d bite me if I tried to snuggle him…
He is a adorable, but with very sharp teeth. And his pink feet are kind of …creepy. I should add a picture of his feet. They don’t even look like they belong on his body, but are a good reminder that he is in fact just a fancy rodent. But can he be a marsupial and a rodent at the same time?
We’ve had possums around, too. They can look cute, but they can also burrow under the roof (true story).
I know. That’s why I didn’t want to ever (accidentally) attract them close to the house again. Did you get rid of them by the way?
So cute, but very cheeky. What does he care for the birds? 🙂
Well, he likes their food anyway!
And there he is out in the daylight. Great capture.
Thanks Sid. Guess he couldn’t wait for night time – too tempted by the allure of peanut butter.
