It is Clematis, variety “Cherokee.” It is a flowering vine that grows pretty well here, although it does need to be protected over the winter. It is hardy in zones 4-9. Clematis comes in a variety of colors; I have some dark blue and dark purple ones that I’ve put out photos of before.
