I was born and brought up in Michigan so I remember snowy winters, and the excitement of snow days off from school….playing in the show then hot chocolate 🙂
Thanks Brenda, and thanks for stopping by. We didn’t have a white Christmas this year, as so far the winter has been pretty ho-hum. I hope you get somewhere where you can experience snow some time, although I have to warn you that after about five minutes in it, you might be wishing to go back to your own warm weather!
Wow, you guys ended up with a lot! (I’m assuming this is from this year?) When we got back home there was a little on the ground, but it all melted two days later.
You’re so right! After a few weeks of trying to carry on life as usual with that much snow on the ground, you want to move to the tropics. Great entry!
Thanks Winsome. It IS okay. Most of the time I want both – I like living in Michigan where we have all the seasons, but round about February or March, a trip to a warm place is not a bad idea either. Although, when we visited the Florida Keys where I took these photos, the weather was warm but not blissful, and the water was cold. Very dissapointing, but it does look beautiful in the pictures.
Thanks Cecelia, and a wonderful year to you too. Maybe you’ll find out the winter climate will not be as bad as you expect. You might actually start to like it!
Happy New Year to you Patti. Surprisingly, I chose winter, not because I like the cold, but it definitely makes one appreciate spring, summer and fall!
I agree 100%. Winter and snow sounds fun but the beach, the blue waters , playful sun and the colors of Summer and the tropics will always be my heart’s desire….
Happy New Year. May our year be filled with warm smiles, generous laughter , of joy that seems endless and of love that always lingers….
Thanks for your kind wishes, and happy new year to you as well. These Florida Keys pictures must remind you of your home. That was our first trip there and it was not as tropical as we had hoped it would be, although it was beautiful. I think our next warm vacation will have to be farther south.
Thanks Madman. By the way, I looked at your blog and you don’t look like a madman at all. I could not read a thing, but all the photos of watches were lovely. Thanks for dropping by.
Great photos Donna, especially with the blue skies. Love the snow pics too.
Thanks Ann. I wish I had some of the photos of my childhood winters – we really did winter much better back then.

Pretty! Happy 2012!
Thank Lisa. Happy New Year to you!
I would like to experience a snowy winter, just once in my life. Ohh and a white Christmas. I’ll have to put that on my bucket list. Great photos!

Well, this was last year’s snow. At the moment, we still have bare ground here, as our latest batch of snow melted quickly.
Nice post 🙂
As always thanks Jake.

I really like the snow covered bench!
Thanks – I thought it was a good one to show the depth of the snow.
Great snaps. I must admit i much prefer the colder climate, each to their own i guess.
I don’t always like the cold, but I do prefer having distinct seasons, which you don’t really get in Florida. So I guess I’ll stay with where I am.

and one very unique screen colour. RED 🙂
Thanks Amira, and thanks for dropping by. I’ll change the red to something milder when the WP snow ends.
Is it okay to want both? Nice shots!

Thanks Julliane. We just had our first big snow here today, so I’ll probably be putting out some more winter photos soon.
